Frances A. Cox is a licensed counselor, coach and consultant with a professional background in healthcare, management and project development. Frances developed and delivered a wellness & resiliency program entitled “Health & Harmony” for corporations, government agencies and small businesses. She has served as a consultant for cardiac rehabilitation, weight loss and stress management programs in various hospitals in Austin, Texas. She was a health coach for Health Future, LLC and in private practice.
Prior to her work in healthcare, Frances developed and managed programs for government and non-profits in mental health, substance abuse treatment & criminal justice. While working in this arena, she began her training in Motivational Interviewing. Frances became a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) in 2006. Since then, she has served as a MI consultant and coach for the University of Texas Health Behavior Research & Training Institute; numerous federally funded grant projects providing Screening & Brief Intervention , Referral & Treatment (SBIRT); the Women Infants & Children (WIC) program; health clinics; numerous state & local government agencies; and insurance companies.
Frances received her M.Ed. in counseling from the University of Texas at Austin. She is certified as a resiliency coach as well as numerous behavior change approaches.
For the Clinical Health Coach Training Program®, Ms. Cox will provide training in Motivational Interviewing.
