Clinical Health Coach® Learning Community Webinar Series
COACHING THROUGH THE WALL OF RESISTANCE
This webinar will focus on an alternative, patient-centered way of defining and responding to what are commonly thought of as ‘just excuses”, “yes-buts”, “denial”, and “resistance”. The alternative approach is based on motivational interviewing and a deeper understanding of ambivalence and how that plays out in health coaching.
PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ABLE TO:
- Reframe resistant types of behavior as a normal part of the change process and patient ambivalence.
- Identify two key strategies for responding to these behaviors
