Iowa Chronic Care Consortium has conducted one of the most extensive surveys of health coaching adoption and usage in clinical healthcare settings. In summary, the study found that investments in health coach programs can pay significant dividends for both the provider and patient, but that the adoption rate has been limited because healthcare organizations had not been able to recognize the value, although the trend toward greater use is now increasing due to the impact of new care models, such as PCMHs and ACOs.
The survey is now available for download here – 2013 Clinical Health Coach Survey
